University Branch Library to hold intro computer classes
The Adult Services staff at Fort Bend County Libraries’ University Branch Library, 14010 University Blvd in Sugar Land on the UH campus, will present a variety of free, introductory computer classes this month. The classes will consist of a hands-on introduction to basic skills for people who would like to learn more about using these computer programs.
“MS Word Survival Basics” for version 2010 will take place on Thursday, March 7, beginning at 2:00 pm, in the Computer Lab.
“MS Excel Survival Basics” for version 2010 will take place on Tuesday, March 12, beginning at 10:30 am, in the Computer Lab.
“MS Word: Intermediate” for version 2010 will take place on Thursday, March 14, beginning at 2:00 pm, in the Computer Lab. Learn more advanced functions and tools of this word-processing software.
“MS Word: Advanced” for version 2010 will take place on Thursday, March 21, beginning at 2:00 pm, in the Computer Lab. Learn how to enhance documents with new, more advanced skills.
The classes are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “University Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-633-5150, or by visiting the library.
