Charlie Howard to be honored and Harlan Bibles presented March 8

A free event is planned to honor State Representative Charlie Howard for his 18 years of service in State Legislature and “Harlan Bibles” will be presented to area courts. Join Faith & Freedom Fort Bend County Friday, March 8 at 7:00 PM at the HBU Chapel, Houston Baptist University Belin Chapel.

HBU museums will be opened at 6:00 PM. Judge Darrell White of American Judicial Alliance will dedicate a ”Harlan Bible” to each of our judicial courts represented. American Judicial Alliance dedicates unique signatory Bibles to courts across the nation.

In 1906, Justice John Marshall Harlan, I (1833-1911) gave his own Bible to the Supreme Court of the United States.  It has become known as the “Harlan Bible” and is maintained by the Court’s Curator.  Since its presentation, the Harlan Bible’s flyleaf pages have been signed by every justice in succession shortly after taking the oath of office.

Attend and support this effort to restore the biblical foundations of our courts. Contact 832-651-7771 for more information
