Andrew Cai ranked 1st in UH High School Math Contest Algebra 1 Exam.

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Houston hosted a High School Mathematics Contest on February 09, 2013.  Hundreds of Houston’s best and brightest high school and middle school math students showcased their talents.

Eight individual exams (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Calculus, AP Physics and Calculator) were given.  Students chose to participate in one or two individual exams.

Andrew Cai, a 3rd grader from Colony Meadows Elementary, won First Place Award in Algebra 1 Exam.  Andrew was the only elementary school student winning an award at this contest.
