Digital Scavenger Hunt for Teens
In celebration of Teen Tech Week, March 10-16, the Youth Services department at Fort Bend County Libraries’ University Branch Library, will present a Digital Scavenger Hunt on Thursday, March 14, beginning at 4:00 pm, in the Youth Services department of the library, located at 14010 University Blvd in Sugar Land, on the UH campus.
Teens in grades 6 and up are invited to test their investigative skills by sleuthing through the library in search of subtly-visible and not-so-hidden items on a list they will be given. Using their cell phones, the teens will take pictures of the items when they are discovered. Once their list is complete, they will be eligible to win prizes.
The library will also host an “Old-School Tech” technology petting-zoo for teens on Tuesday, March 12, beginning at 4:00 pm. On display will be a variety of technology gadgets, telephones, gaming systems, and computer parts that led to the technologies of today.
The program is free and open to the public. Snacks and drinks will be available. For more information, call the branch library at 281-633-5100, or the libraries’ Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
