Learn how to make a kite at Missouri CIty Library

Missouri City Branch Library, in conjunction with the City of Missouri City, will present a special kite-making program for families on Saturday, March 9, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, at the Missouri City Community Park, 1700 Glen Lakes Lane.

In this hands-on family activity, those attending will learn how to make a kite. All materials will be provided, except for a tail for the kite. Children must be at least 8-years old to attend, and children between the ages of 8 and 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

The program is free and open to the public. The class is limited to the first 140 kite-making teams. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Missouri City Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2100, or by visiting the library.
