Sugar Land Police Chief’s home burglarized – two arrested

By LeaAnne Klentzman

On Friday, February 8, Sugar Land Police responded to a residential alarm in the north side neighborhood of Glenn Laurel. When officers arrived on the scene they discovered fence slats missing along the back fence and the back door had been forced open. Further investigation that no intruder was in the home nor was anything missing, said police spokesman Doug Adolph.

During the ensuing neighborhood canvas, police learned that one neighbor had seen two men climb over a fence near her home and another neighbor, across the greenbelt, had called police earlier that day to report a suspicious vehicle and two men parked in front of her house, said Adolph. That vehicle and its occupants were located by police shortly after the burglary at Chief Brinkley’s home.

Conner Hinton, 17, and Taylor Nuttal, 17, both of Ragus Lakes in Sugar Land, were later arrested and charged with burglary.
