Crockett Middle School to host Read Across America Day event

Crockett Middle School invites all “Maverick” parents to come and celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday and the National Education Association’s Read Across America Day. The event will be held at the campus on March 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Mayor Evalyn W. Moore, City of Richmond, will issue a proclamation from the City of Richmond recognizing Crockett staff in their effort to encourage America’s children to become great readers.

Jan Bethancourt, author of Eat Chocolate with Breakfast, will also speak to students about the importance of reading and writing. Crockett “Maverick” parents are encouraged to attend and participate in their child’s reading activities for the day. Don’t miss this exciting event!
