“Daniel and the Dreamcatcher” comes to Meyer Elementary

Committed to the promotion of literacy through the art of musical theater, members of the Houston Grand Opera presented “Daniel and The Dreamcatcher” to students in PK-5th grade of Meyer Elementary School. The students learned a lesson in courage as it was presented in operatic form.  This presentation was sponsored by an Arts, Culture and Design in Schools Grant from Target written by Meyer music teacher Phyllis Janke and also  funded by The Texas Commission on the Arts. These organizations encourage literacy by bringing the arts to the schools and communities.
