Realtor Raises Funds for BP MS-150 Team

Martha Turner Properties Realtor associate Ashton Martini is raising funds for the Martha Turner Properties BP MS-150 team.  A recent convert to long-distance bike riding, Martini is captain of the company’s 20-member team that will ride from Houston to Austin on April 20 and 21. The riders will stop for the night in La Grange and arrive in Austin on the second day.

On Saturday, February 17, Martini and the team’s co-captain, his Realtor assistant Courtney Henderson, held a fund-raising crawfish boil at Martini’s listing on 1233 Yale Street in the Heights to raise money to help cover the team’s expenses. All-you-can-eat crawfish and a clear crisp afternoon attracted a number of supporters to the event.

“We are passionate about the cause behind this event and raising money for research,” said Henderson. “That’s why we decided to go for it.”

“We’ve been challenged by another team to see who can raise the most money,” said Martini. “That makes it even more fun and it’s a win-win for us and multiple sclerosis research,” said Martini. “We are determined to win.”
