FBISD Childhood Obesity Program students finish the Darling Dash

Twenty-five Fort Bend ISD students, parents, teachers and staff, sponsored by the UnitedHealthcare Activate for Kids program, finished the As One Foundation’s Darling Dash 5K/1K Sunday, (February 24) in Sugar Land.  Some of the students are also participants in JOIN for ME– a first-of-its-kind, whole-family program to fight childhood obesity. JOIN for ME is a partnership between UnitedHealthcare and the Fort Bend ISD.  Shown from Left to Right: Miriam Dickey and Rebecca Fernandez, Fort Bend ISD students in the JOIN for ME program, celebrate their Darling Dash victory with Stephanie Kellam, the UnitedHealthcare Activate for Kids School District Wellness Coordinator, and Mason Taylor, also a JOIN for ME participant.
