Two arson cases under investigation

The Sugar Land Fire Department still investigating two intentionally set fires on local playgrounds.

Sugar Land police and fire spokesman Doug Adolph said the fire department is still investigating two arson cases at area playgrounds that occurred on the same night.

On January 18, Sugar Land police and fire responded to fires at Commonwealth and Brazos Landing playgrounds which resulted in damages that exceeded $50,000 said Adolph.

Arson investigators are seeking assistance to help solve these cases.  Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Fire Marshal’s Office at (281) 275-2871 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
