Christopher J. Hughes

Christopher J. Hughes

Christopher J. Hughes, Age 28, of Missouri City, passed away on February 27, 2013 in Sugar Land Methodist Hospital. He was born on November 30, 1984 in Houston, Texas to Jim Hughes and Jody Tancred.

He is survived by his best friend and father Jim, his mother Jody, his loving sister Heather, his Grandmother Marjorie Tancred,  as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris enjoyed all types of animals and wildlife; his favorite hobby was planting and taking care of bonsai trees and other tropical plants. He enjoyed barbequing with friends and family.  He loved to go fishing with his dad and friends on the weekend. He was also an avid college football fan and loved watching the Texans play on Sunday afternoons.

Chris was often known to give away his last dollar to people that were less fortunate than he.  Often, he could be seen cruising the aisles of the local Wal-Mart and Kroger on the weekends buying items for his friends and family!

A Memorial Service was held at 1 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2013 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., in Sugar Land.
