Second Mile Mission Center hosts public open house

Second Mile Mission Center will provide tours of its new leased facilities during its Open House from 4 to 7 p.m on Thursday, March 21, at 1135 Highway 90A in Missouri City.

“We moved in to this new 15,000-square-foot facility on Feb. 1, and we quickly settled in,” said Sarah White, Second Mile’s Executive Director. “Now we are ready for our friends from the community to come by and see this place, including the Pat McWaters Health Clinic which was named for a beloved volunteer and board member who passed away last year.”

Following a search for new facilities that spanned many years, Second Mile’s board of directors decided to sign a 15-year lease for the new facilities in Missouri City.  Features of the new space include a larger food pantry and food storage warehouse as well as a larger waiting room, reception area, clothing room and health clinic.
