4th Annual Fort Bend Empty Bowls scheduled for April 5
The 4th Annual Fort Bend Empty Bowls is set for Friday, April 5 from 6:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at Safari Texas Ranch. Fort Bend Empty Bowls is the single largest fundraising event benefiting East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry. Guests of the event are served a simple meal of soup and bread as a reminder of families in Fort Bend County who don’t have enough food to eat.
Although the meal may be “simple” the soup will be delicious! Local restaurants will be providing the tasty soups – Berryhill’s, Fish City Grill, Black-eyed Pea, La Escondida , Jambone’s Grill and Carino’s Italian are just a few of the participating restaurants.
A featured part of Fort Bend Empty Bowls are the hand-painted soup bowls which have been donated by local professional and amateur artists.
These bowls will be available for purchase to raise funds to help families in need in our community.
The evening will include live entertainment from the Cradle of Texas Chorus and the Harbor Light Choir, performing Motown favorites.
There will also be silent and live auctions, sure to have something for everyone. Commissioner James Patterson is serving as the event auctioneer.
“We are thrilled to have Whole Foods Market of Sugar Land as a lead sponsor for Fort Bend Empty Bowls, said Vickie Coates, Executive Director, EFBHNM. Whole Foods Market has been a community partner to the Ministry since opening the Sugar Land store.”
Tickets for Fort Bend Empty Bowls are only $25 per person and may be purchased at East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry, or online at www.HumanNeeds.org.
