Fort Bend County Feral Hog Program set for April 6

Prairie View A&M  Cooperative Extension Program- Fort Bend County and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service – Fort Bend County  will sponsor a Feral Hog Program on Saturday April 6,  at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds, Bldg. “C”; Hwy.36 South,  Rosenberg.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

The program speaker will be Mark Tyson, Extension Associate, Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Topics that will be  addressed include Feral Hog Biology and Watersheds, Feral Hog Effects on Vegetation, Rangeland and Agricultural Crops, Feral Hog Disease and Safe Handling and Transportation. A question and answer discussion will be held after the presentations.

Pre-register by April 1,  for $10 per person by contacting Brandy at the Fort Bend County Extension Office at 281-342-3034. Please make checks payable to AHAC. Registration fee includes educational materials.

Participants in the program  will be able to earn 1 CEU credit in Integrated Pest Management  towards their recertification for their private, commercial, and non-commercial applicators  license.
