Coming to a corner near you!

The city of Sugar Land has announced some new intersections that are slated for traffic enforcement cameras. Although this is a space generally reserved for Dumb Criminals – if captured by the camera – you won’t be a criminal just dumb!
According to Assistant City Manager Steve Griffith (former police chief) “If everyone complied with these laws at all times, there would be no accidents. Our goal in traffic enforcement is to save lives, reduce injuries and minimize property loss.”
“Our Safe Light Sugar Land program has reduced accidents and helped to save the lives of motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists,” said Griffith. “Red light cameras also allow police officers to focus on other important efforts, such as special teams that focus on burglaries and other areas of emphasis.” So there ya have it – you red light bust’n fools are causing the nice po-lice folks to miss the burglars cuz they have to keep you from kill’n each other at the red lights!
Hey – didn’t ya’ll get a new po-lice chief over something like that a while back? Umm, Humm…
You heard it here – new red light camera coming to the intersections of U.S. Highway 90A at Dairy Ashford (westbound approach) and the northbound approach of Dairy Ashford at U.S. Highway 90A those stink’n existing cameras are at the intersections of U.S. 59 at State Highway 6; State Highway 6 at Lexington Boulevard; and West Airport Boulevard at Eldridge Parkway.
Just so ya know - about 70 percent of violators do not live in Sugar Land. Red light violators rarely receive a second ticket. Red light violations are most common in the afternoon, especially on Saturdays.
Pay attention! The City of Sugar Land is trying to save you from your dumb Self!
