Special Crime Alert – Busy Burglars!

Crime spree in New Territory section of Fort Bend County has Crime Stoppers offering reward.
Over a five day period someone has burglarized buildings, cars and trespassed all over the New Territory subdivision. According to Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, “As many as 24 cases were committed in the Sugar Land area subdivision spanning the dates of March 25-30.
Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking a person of interest, though there may be other suspects in these cases.” He said on March 27, six vehicles were burglarized and on the following Saturday, as many as 18 more cases of Burglary of a Building, Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and Criminal Trespass were reported to the Sheriff’s Office. It was fortunate that a couple of images were captured by a surveillance camera at the Club at New Territory, in the 1200 block of Walker Station School Road, during the spree on March 26.
The suspect/person of interest has been described as a white or light-skinned male between the age of 16 and 20 years old. He is about 5’9” to 5’11”in height and has a thin build.
Haenel identified some of the streets where the criminal behavior took place as Morrow Court, Bramlett Court, Twin Valley Drive, Cool Water Court, Heddon Falls, Lakspur Drive, Epperson Way Court, Clarenda Falls Drive, Brobeck Court, Burchton Drive, Chessley Chase Drive, Garrett Way and Whitby Court. Haenel said, “In some cases, the vehicles were unlocked. In some cases, no property was taken, but Criminal Trespass charges will be pursued.”
Information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspects involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
