Dew Tell

Jo Butterfield

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Speakers Committee Members Ivan and Jo Butterfield performed “Dew Tell-A Murder on the Bayou” for Dew House Docents in April–the “ghosts” from the mid 1900’s performed the story of Frank Dew (Frank and his brothers were among the early founders and supporters of both the Houston Fat Stock Show and the Ft Bend County Fair) and Lucyle Richards, the Cowgirl Rodeo Star, who shot him.  In this creative way, the Butterfields and their other committee members promote the rodeo, which brings in millions of educational dollars as well as the historic Dew House located in Kitty Hollow Park.
