Global Studies Academy presents Global Issues Summit on Saturday, April 20

Clements High School’s Global Studies Academy will host a Global Issues Summit on Saturday, April 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the school’s auditorium, 4200 Elkins Drive, Sugar Land.The event is being held to raise awareness of global concerns among students and inform them of measures that are being taken to address and alleviate those issues.

The event will feature guest speakers from various community and international organizations who will discuss such issues as: Refugee Resettlement, Child Soldiers, Literacy, Malnutrition, Immigration, Disaster Relief, Discrimination and more. Speakers will also share success stories of how they have helped to alleviate world problems. Vendor booths and refreshments will also be provided.

Admission is free. All FBISD high school students, their families, and community members are invited.
