Gardens touch Quail Valley with magic at their 6th annual Backyard Tour
The 6th Annual Quail Valley Backyard Tour will be held Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. A $10 donation to see all gardens and the proceeds benefit community service.
The 6th Annual Quail Valley Backyard Tour gardens provide a variety of alternatives how different families create magic in their gardens and enhance their home’s comfort and value. Set in the first master-planned community in Fort Bend County, you’ll experience mature trees and winding waterways.
The 2013 Tour showcases 5 styles of gardens that all use native and well adapted plants, which have many benefits; but can be harder to incorporate effectively, and not let everything “take over.” Our gardens range from classic & cottage styles, easy-to-maintain, avant garde to totally Earth Kind with organic vegetables, fruit trees & flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
All gardeners have been intimately involved in the garden and love to share their knowledge, interests and passions. Consequently, you can gain many tips, techniques and resources in a relatively small geographic area and still leisurely enjoy the gardens.
Follow the signs in Missouri City off FM 1092 (Murphy Road) and 3700 block of El Dorado Blvd. For tour map and more information www.traction.typepad.com/QVTour
