Intro technology classes offered at Sugar Land Branch Library

Sugar Land Branch Library, 550 Eldridge, will present a variety of free, introductory technology classes this month on basic computer use and Microsoft PowerPoint. The classes will consist of a hands-on introduction to basic skills for people who would like to learn more about using these tools.

The “MS PowerPoint Survival Basics” class will take place on Saturday, May 18, beginning at 10:15 am, in the Tech Center. This class presents a basic introduction to using this presentation software program.

The “Computers 101” class will take place on Saturday, May 25, beginning at

10:15 am, in the Tech Center. This class presents a basic introduction to using a computer and a mouse.

The classes are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Sugar Land Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2140, or by visiting the library.
