Learn how to download eBooks at library program
Did you get a new Kindle or Nook, but you’re not sure how to use it? Fort Bend County Libraries’ Sienna Branch Library, 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd in Missouri City, will present introductory programs this month on downloading e-books to Kindles and Nook™ e-reader devices. Learn how easy it is to download free eBooks to your mobile reading device from the library’s online digital library collection, OverDrive.
“Shift Into OverDrive with Kindles” will take place on Tuesday, May 14, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab of the library. Learn how to download e-books to Kindles.
“Shift Into OverDrive with Nooks” will take place on Thursday, May 23, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab of the library. Learn how to download e-books to Nook mobile reading devices with Internet-accessing capabilities, including Nook Color, Nook Tablet, Nook HD, or Nook HD+.
Those attending these classes should bring their e-reader device, their library card, and library PIN to the class with them.
The classes are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Sienna Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2952, or visiting the library.
