FBJSL awards $5,000 grants to TW Davis Family YMCA

The TW Davis Family YMCA was recently awarded a $5,000 Community Assistance Fund (CAF) Grant from the Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL).

These funds will help the TW Davis Family YMCA provide swim lessons during the 2013 summer at several low-income apartment complexes in the Richmond/Rosenberg area.  Over the course of this coming summer, the lives of about 600 kids between the ages 3-18will be impacted by this aquatic program.  Along with the swim lessons, the YMCA will present swim safety education to the student’s parents and apartment complex management.  This is one of the many wonderful programs for Fort Bend’s youth and families that are offered by the TW Davis Family YMCA.  Each of the YMCA’s programs is designed to help improve the mind, body and spirit.
