It was a beautiful spring day on April 19, when golfers participated in the 2013 Fort Bend Cares 9th Annual Golf Tournament. The event was held at Quail Valley Golf Club.

Proceeds from the tournament go to grants provided to Fort Bend County area youth charities. “We are extremely pleased with the community support this year and even more excited that we can help disadvantaged children in Fort Bend with the proceeds”, said Rick Conley, Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

The Fort Bend Cares Grant Committee has been hard at work preparing their recommendations for the 2013 awards which will be announced on May 14 at the Annual Grant Reception to be held at Classic Chevrolet at 6:00 p.m.

With the allocation of the 2013 grants, Fort Bend Cares will have contributed $1 million to disadvantaged children since its inception in less than 10 years. All those interested in getting involved are welcome to attend.
