On Valentine’s Day Kristy Hedden lost the love of her life
Gary Hedden, 40, of Richmond, died in a car accident while he was taking one of his sons to guitar lessons. He left behind his wife of 17 years and their four children.
St. John’s School for Little Children and the St. John’s United Methodist Church have created the Hedden Family Benefit. The Benefit will help support Kristy and the children, Andrew, 15; Matthew, 13; Christopher, 11; and Katelyn, 9.
The Hedden Family Benefit will be from 9-11 a.m. on June 1 at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 400 Jackson Street, Richmond. For a $25 family donation, children can complete the Kids K Obstacle Course where they will run, swerve, jump and crawl through mazes to reach the finish line. The donation also lets children play on the bounce houses and have their face painted.
In addition, volunteers will serve a pancake breakfast beginning at 9 a.m.
The highlight of the event will be an outstanding silent auction. Patrons can bid on Sugar Land Skeeter tickets as well as Houston Astros tickets, with seats behind the dugout. There also will be autographed Roger Clemens memorabilia, themed baskets and other unique items waiting to go home to the highest bidder. St. John’s Little School will also be auctioning off a year’s tuition to the highly acclaimed school.
Kristy Hedden is a teacher at St. John’s School for Little Children in Richmond. The family is active with River Pointe Church, along with the local Boy Scouts and schools in the area. This is an outstanding opportunity to support the family through your monetary donations.
People can generously donate to the Gary Hedden Fund even if they are unable to attend the Benefit.
