2nd Annual College Scholarship Program offered by Sugar Land Police Officer’s Assoc.

The Sugar Land Police Officers’ Association has announced its 2nd annual Scholarship Program for 2013.  This is the second year of the Scholarship award.  The SLPOA will offer a $1000 scholarship available to graduating seniors of each of the four high schools in the City of Sugar Land.

Graduating seniors from Dulles H.S., Kempner H.S., Clements H.S. and the Fort Bend Christian Academy who are enrolled or in the process of enrolling in an accredited junior college, 4-year college or university are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

“The SLPOA is always looking for better ways to improve and give back to the community.”  “What better way than to invest in our youth through college education”, said SLPOA President Ed Aldredge.

Interested seniors are encouraged to see their school counselor to pick up an application.  The application deadline is May 31.

Scholarship awardees will be announced at the SLPOA Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Sweetwater Country Club on June 24, 2013.
