Now through May 18 is National Police Week

In honor of National Police Week (May 12 – May18), the SLPOA, Amy Mitchell, Joe Ochoa Roofing, Home Depot, Brookstreet BBQ, Cherry Companies Dumpsters and Final Touch Roofing are teaming up to provide a new roof, siding and landscaping to a Highlands Subdivision resident, Miss Levenia. Miss Levenia is a long time resident of Sugar Land and is supported by the Fort Bend Seniors Meals on Wheels Program.

Amy Mitchell became aware of the much needed repairs to Miss Levenia’s home and contacted the SLPOA for their assistance. SLPOA Vice President Wayne Lain immediately began to champion the effort and contacted several companies in the area. Mr. Lain received an overwhelming response to generously donate time and materials. “This is a great opportunity for Sugar Land Police Officers’ Association members to give back to our community and show our community that we care about our citizens”, Wayne Lain commented.

Work will begin on Miss Levenia’s house at 6:00 a.m. and all repairs will be completed by the end of the day on May 18, 2013.

Please contact Charles Krachala, SPLPOA Secretary at 713.305.2357, with questions or donation offers.
