Sugar Land Police take driver into custody

Sugar Land Police was making sure no gangsta’ badness goes on at Gatti Town Pizza. Saturday night, about 10pm, Sugar Land Police responded to a dispute involving weapons at the Gatti Town Pizza and Arcade in the 3400 block of State Hwy 6 South.
When inquiries were made to the police department, Sugar Land police spokesman Doug Adolph said, “SLPD was dispatched to Gatti Town Pizza at 10 p.m. Someone reported a fight outside involving a large group of black women. The person who reported the incident said they heard a popping sound, but no weapons were seen. When officers arrived, there was a large group outside, but no fighting was observed. Several people were interviewed and issued warnings, but no arrests were made.”
Interestingly, witnesses to this same incident told the “Star” the same story until police began to arrive on the scene. According to a witness, as Sugar Land Police arrived on the scene a gold colored suburban fled, headed southbound on Hwy 6.
A pursuit ensued. During that pursuit the suspect vehicle made a u-turn on Hwy 6 near Settlers Way Boulevard and headed back to the Gatti Town parking lot. The area was blanketed with police and after a felony take-down in the parking lot, the driver was taken into custody. The witness provided pictures.
Something smells here and it’s more than the cheese.
