Local student accepted to the 2013 National Young Scholars Program

This summer, high-achieving elementary school students will take part in the National Young Scholars Program (NYSP). Held on campuses across the country, NYSP inspires outstanding 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students to explore, invent, learn, and think creatively.

Connor Bowen, currently a 5th grader attending Dickinson Elementary, has been accepted to NYSP.

Connor will be joining other high-achieving students in the joy of discovery.  Connor and other students attending the residency program at the University of Denver have the opportunity to select their area of curriculum including Crime Scene Investigation, Modern Engineering, Medicine and Explorers.  Additionally, all attendees attend sessions to increase their leadership abilities.

Conner’s teacher, Ms. Janet Marlow nominated him to the program earlier this year.
