Summer schedule of children’s programs at Missouri City Branch Library

Missouri City Branch, 1530 Texas Parkway, presents a variety of free children’s programs — Toddler Time, Story Time, Pajama Night Story Time, and School-Age Programs — every month.  These programs are free and open to the public. The summer schedule for June is as follows:

Toddler Time — Tuesdays at 10:15 am — offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for older babies, from 12 to 36 months of age. Program dates are June 11, 18, and 25.

Pre-school children, 3 to 6 years of age, will enjoy Story Time, where they hear stories, watch movies, and participate in age-appropriate craft activities, beginning at 10:15 am each Wednesday, and at 10:30 am each Saturday. Program dates are June 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, and 29.

Pajama Night Story Time — Mondays at 7:00 pm — gives families an evening option for the activities presented during the daytime.  Program dates are June 10, 17, and 24.

“Hora de Cuentos Bilingüe,” a bilingual Story Time for Spanish-speaking families, normally takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month, beginning at 7:00 pm. Families with children of all ages will hear stories in Spanish and English, and will enjoy a variety of other activities such as songs, crafts, and movies. Program date is June 19 ONLY this month.

The School-Age Programs — crafts, movies, stories, and more for school-aged children in 1st through 5th grades – take place every Thursday, beginning at 2:00 pm, in the summer. These programs will take place at the Missouri City Civic Center, 1522 Texas Parkway, Missouri City. The June schedule is as follows:
June 13 – Stories Come Alive in My Garden (presented by Oasis for Children)
June 20 – Fort Bend Kennel Club
June 27 – Rhythm of Life (presented by Brian Del Signore)
The Young Adult Programs, which begin at 2.00 pm on Tuesdays during the summer, are designed for youth in grades 6-8. The June schedule is as follows:
