Crime Stoppers asking if you seen this theft suspect.

Crime Stoppers is asking the public for help in identifying a theft suspect.

On May, 20 at about 10 in the morning sheriff’s deputies were called to the Walgreens near Bissonnet on State Highway 6 South near Houston to investigate the theft of a Samsung Nexus Tablet. According to Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel the victim told deputies that while she was standing in line, the customer behind her diverted her attention by talking to her about the preferred customer card relating to the store. The victim made her purchase and left the store. Haenel said when she arrived home she realized that her Tablet was not in her purse.

“She returned to the store and was allowed to view in-store video which showed the woman lifting the tablet from the victim’s purse,” said Haenel. The suspect was described as heavy set, in her 40s with blonde and brown curly hair to her shoulders. She had a medium brown complexion and at the time of the theft she was wearing a colorful floral patterned dress. She can be seen in surveillance video provided by the store. The other two females visible are persons of interest in the case said Haenel.

Anyone with information that leads to the arrest or conviction of those involved in this case could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
