Sugar Land Police investigate robbery at Subway.

On May 5, around 11pm, two men dressed in dark clothing enter the Subway sandwich shop located at 3557 State Highway 6 in Sugar Land, and forced them at gunpoint to kneel down with their hands behind their heads said police spokesman Doug Adolph.

The two entered the store separately, however, both were armed with handguns. “The men demanded money from the store safe, but the employees were unable to open the safe. Both employees were placed in a walk-in cooler and told to remain there for several minutes,” said Adolph.

When the employees came out of the cooler, the gun wielding crooks were gone along with a small amount of cash from the register. Adolph said the employees locked the doors and called police.

The suspects were both described as black males wearing dark, long-sleeved shirts and pants. The first man who entered the store was 40-45 years old, 5’10” to 6’3″, and about 220 lbs.. He had light skin, short black hair and was wearing glasses and a dirty cap with a kangaroo emblem. The second suspect was younger and slightly shorter than the first suspect.

Anyone with any information is asked to contract Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
