Learn about canning and preserving food
Missouri City Branch Library will present a special program, “The Art of Preserving Food,” on Saturday, July 6, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 1530 Texas Parkway.
By preserving your own food, you can savor the best flavors of every season any time of the year, save money, and eat healthier without additives. Brian Wilson, resident chef at Sur La Table in Sugar Land, will guide you through the steps of canning and preserving your own jams, pickles, and much more.
