Stafford prepares for 38th Annual Freedom Rings

On Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4th, the City of Stafford’s annual two-day festivities will be held to commemorate America’s Declaration of Independence. The parade, carnival, live music and dancing will be held at the Stafford Center’s field #2, beginning at 7:00pm.

This year’s selection of parade marshals are Jimmy and Sadie Williams. Jimmy Williams is a past president of the FBWCID#2 and his wife Sadie is a retired SMSD secretary and member of the Stafford Historical Society. On July 4th, the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra will play patriotic music at the Stafford Centre at 7:00pm. The evening will conclude with fireworks lighting up Stafford’s night sky at 9:00pm. As usual, everyone is invited and all of the events are free.
