Special Crime Alert: Gunman robs convenience store

Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers, Inc. is willing to pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the man who robbed a Bissonnet Street convenience store in early June. According to Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, the lone suspect entered the store wielding a handgun on June 7, shortly after 11:00 pm. The clerk told responding deputies the man entered the Valero convenience store in the 14100 block of Bissonnet pulled a gun and demanded cash. Eventually the armed intruder climbed over the counter and took the cash for himself.

The suspect has been described as a black male wearing a hoodie pulled up to disguise his identity. He further concealed his identity with a mask pulled over his face covering his mouth and nose, said Haenel. Witnesses told deputies the suspect was about 5’7″ – 5’10’ with a slim build.
