Heroin seized by Rosenberg Police.

In a traffic stop Friday, Rosenberg Police seize another Heroin load along US 59.

According to Rosenberg police spokesman Lieutenant Brain Baker, the nearly 21 pounds of Heroin was seized, “as a result of a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 27000 block of U.S. Hwy 59, Rosenberg, for a traffic offense.”

Baker said, “Upon investigation, officers located a hidden compartment in the vehicle containing the narcotics.” Rosenberg police have declined to name the person arrested asserting, “charges are pending on the sole occupant and the investigation is on-going for the offense of First Degree Felony, Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.”

Baker said, “The name of the driver will be released once the investigation has been completed and charges are filed.” The approximate street value of the Heroin is reportedly nearly $2 million dollars.
