Bring your technology questions to Mamie George Branch Library
Do you have a new Kindle or Nook™, but you’re not sure how to use it? Do computers confound you? Fort Bend County Libraries’ Mamie George Branch Library will have Technology Question-and-Answer sessions in July, with a different focus at each session. Library staff will be available at these come-and-go sessions to answer questions about different types of e-readers, using the library’s online digital library, and downloading e-books.
“Mobile Devices Q&A” will take place on Thursday, July 11, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Bring any questions that you might have about smart phones, cell phones, mp3 players, iPods, iPads, or tablets.
“eReaders Q&A” will take place on Monday, July 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Bring any questions you have about using mobile electronic reading devices, such as Kindles and Nooks, or about downloading eBooks from the library’s collection, OverDrive.
“Computers Q&A” will take place on Thursday, July 25, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Library staff will be available to answer basic questions about computers, the library’s databases, or other online services.
The sessions are free and open to the public. Reservations are not required. For more information, call the branch library at 281-238-2880 or the library’s Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
The Mamie George Branch Library is located at 320 Dulles Avenue in Stafford.
