Sugar Land Police release sketches of Subway robbers
By LeaAnne Klentzman
On June 5, about 10:45 p.m., two men entered the sandwich shop in the 3500 block of Highway 6 South and ordered the clerks to their knees at gunpoint. Sugar Land police spokesman Doug Adolph said, “The men demanded money from a safe, but the employees did not have the combination.”
The employees were forced into the cooler where they remained until the armed men were gone. Upon returning to the front counter the employees found the register open and what cash had been there was missing.
At the time of the robbery no customers were in the restaurant and neither of the employees were physically injured.
The suspects were described as black males both wearing dark colored long-sleeved shirts and pants. Adolph said the first man to enter the store was between 40-45 years old, 5’10” to 6’3” and about 220 pounds. He had light skin, short black hair and was wearing glasses and a dirty cap with a kangaroo emblem. The second suspect was younger and slightly shorter than the first suspect.
Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at (281) 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
