Fort Bend ISD working together to ensure all students are future-ready

Dear FBISD Community,

I am honored to serve as Fort Bend ISD’s Superintendent of Schools. As the seventh largest school district in Texas, serving 74 campuses and 14 other sites, Fort Bend ISD is committed to our children, who represent the very future of our community. I am aware of what a tremendous responsibility it is to be in charge of their education. I am also aware of the tremendous trust you place in all of us here at Fort Bend ISD as we work to ensure they are future-ready. Everything we do at the district and classroom level is in pursuit of that goal.

We are dedicated to improving the district on a daily basis, and we will accomplish this by becoming more transparent, collaborative and more responsive to your needs. By transparent and collaborative I mean we want to engage in open two-way dialogue, where your ideas, suggestions and concerns easily reach me. We have created a section on our website called YourVoiceMatters, where you can quickly complete a simple form to reach me and the district’s leadership team.

We promise to carefully review every incoming note. I also promise that, over the summer and in the coming months, I will to reach out to you in advance of any major decision so we can face our challenges together. While many of the issues before us cannot be decided by a simple majority opinion of all parents, your input is crucial in helping us establish our priorities. In addition to understanding how you feel about specific issues, I will benefit from knowing why you feel that way.

Every Fort Bend ISD employee is committed to becoming more responsive to the needs of every student and parent. If we fail to meet your standards, please alert me through YourVoiceMatters. I also hope you will take a moment to recognize those members of Fort Bend ISD who consistently deliver excellent service. By committing to excellence and working tirelessly to achieve it, by listening to every concern and suggestion you may have, we hope to earn your trust.

I invite you to join me in laying the foundation of a great future for every child in our district — by coming together as a community and a family, speaking to each other candidly and constructively, and consciously improving Fort Bend ISD every single day.

Send your ideas, suggestions and concerns to “Your Voice Matters” at www.fortbendisd.com
