Market robbed just blocks from Rosenberg Police Department

Sunday night shortly before 11 pm, Rosenberg police were called to investigate and aggravated robbery at the 4th Street Food Store at 1622 4th Street. This grocery mart is just blocks away from the front door of the police station located at 2120 4th Street.

According to Detective Lieutenant Tracie Dunn, “Two unknown male subjects entered the business, assaulted the male clerk and attempted to break into the cash register.” Dunn further explained that the suspects fled the scene on foot with no cash in hand.

The suspects were described as a white male and a Hispanic male. The white male appeared to be in his late teens, slim build, short hair, about 5’6”, weighing about 100 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a white tank top, black shorts and sandals. The Hispanic male was bald, with a medium build. He was about 5’6”, weighing about 180 pounds. He appeared to be in his 30’s. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a red t-shirt and black shorts.
