A man with special needs has left his family home near Stafford in Fort Bend County and the Sheriff’s Office is asking the community for any information they have on where he might be.

Last Thursday evening, the 4th of July, Thomas Chacko, 37, left his home in the 2800 block of Dove Country near Stafford. Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel said, “Chacko is schizophrenic and takes medication. However, family members do not believe he has medication with him nor does he have a phone.”

Haenel said Chacko was upset because his family is moving back to India so he left. The family told deputies they believe he took his passport with him. According to Haenel, Chacko has no known contacts in the area although he is believed to attend New Testament Church on West Shaw in Pasadena.

Thomas Chacko is described as an Indian male, 5’9″ and weighing about 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and when last seen was wearing a black jacket, blue slacks and a white and blue polo shirt.

Anyone who has information concerning Chacko is asked to contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 281-341-4665.
