Spanish speaking families get tips on preparing for school at library

The school year will begin soon and students will return to class. Spanish-speaking families can get tips on how to prepare children for kindergarten, elementary, middle school, or high school at a special program that will be presented in Spanish, “Get Ready for School!” on Saturday, August 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, in the Meeting Room of the Missouri City Branch Library, 1530 Texas Parkway.

Learn what teachers expect of their students and the parents during the school year. Fun and easy “Back to School” craft activities will take place for children in the Youth Services area from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
Refreshments will be available, and a drawing for a backpack will take place at the end of the program.

The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the branch library at 281-238-2100.
