Chimneystone resident robbed in driveway

By LeaAnne Klentzman

A woman was robbed in the driveway of her Chinmeystone home in late June after being followed home from the bank. About 3 p.m. the victim returned home from the Wells Fargo Bank on Highway 6 to be accosted and have her purse stolen.

Sugar Land Police spokesman said the victim was approached from behind by the suspects as she was exiting her vehicle, which was parked in an open garage.  Adolph went on to explain that the suspects did not speak to the victim; they only grabbed her purse and ran to a waiting vehicle.

When questioned, the victim told police she did notice the suspects parked and loitering at the bank when she arrived; as well as noticing them possibly trailing behind her when she was heading home.

The case remains under investigation.
