Rosenberg Police nab man with cache of gun paraphernalia

Monte Martin

Last Friday, Rosenberg Police responded to a theft in progress at the Rosenberg Academy store in Brazos Town Center.

As they converged on the store, the alleged suspect vehicle was spotted leaving the area.  BAM! – They stopped the car.  Low and behold, with little to no searching they discovered what was described as “A cache of handgun magazines, magazine pouches, knives, etc., most of it belonging to the Academy Sports.”

Then to ice the crook cake, officers discovered a handgun in the alleged suspect’s vehicle.  Just so ya’ know this guy is a felon.  Thus, he is not allowed, to possess said firearm.

The perpetrator identified in this caper is Monte Martin.  He was arrested at the scene and charged with Felony Theft and Possession of Firearm by Felon.
