On June 18, Anson Aviation commenced operations at its 24,000 square foot, state-of-the art office and hangar facility at Sugar Land Regional Airport. Anson Aviation already operates the only FAA approved pilot school at the airport. The $3 million facility will allow Anson to expand its offering of innovative aviation services and create 15 new aviation jobs at Sugar Land Regional.

According to founder and president, Dana Atkinson:

“It is our vision to provide all of the services and expertise needed to enable our customers to enjoy private airplanes for business and personal travel. Airplane owners, pilots who rent airplanes, and the general public will find a friendly, inviting, professional atmosphere with everything they need for personal air transportation”, said Dana Atkinson, founder and president.

One of the fundamental principles underlying Anson Aviation’s business plan, which resulted in the new facility, is that aviation is more about people than airplanes. Our vision is to create an environment where a community of aviators with their families and friends can flourish. They will find a comprehensive offering of services designed and managed specifically for them. We will also provide services, such as on-demand air charter and conference facilities, which will allow non-pilots to enjoy the convenience and mobility of Sugar Land’s award winning regional airport.
