Friends of Library announce huge book sale now through August 3

The Friends of the Fort Bend County Library will have a huge sale on items in their book sale at George Memorial Library from now through August 3, in the lobby of the library, located at 1001 Golfview in Richmond.

In preparation for the renovations taking place at George Memorial Library from August 4 through September 29, when the library will be closed, items in the book sale will be 50% off the regular low prices. Gently-used books, magazines, audiobooks and videos are available.

Donations of materials cannot be accepted at the library while it is closed for renovations, but they will be welcome after the library re-opens on September 30.

The Friends organization is instrumental in funding library programs such as the children’s Summer Reading Club. Proceeds from the book sale and annual membership dues also help to underwrite the costs of special programming and various cultural events at George Memorial Library.

For more information, call the library’s Public Information Office at 281-341-2677.
