Sugar Land Pizza Hut robbed

By LeaAnne Klentzman

Sunday night about closing time, Sugar Land Police responded to an aggravated robbery call at the Pizza Hut located at 3638 State Highway 6. According to Sugar Land police spokesman Doug Adolph, “Two men entered the restaurant, pointed handguns at two employees, jumped the counter and demanded money from the safe. The employees were unable to open the safe, so the two men took money from the cash register.”

The employees were ordered into a restroom at gunpoint and told to remain there until after the men left. Interestingly, this robbery is very similar to last week’s Subway robbery.

The suspects in this case were described as black males. One was 30 to 40 years old, about 6′. He was wearing black pants, a black shirt, a black hat and glasses.

The other suspect appeared to be in his early 20s and about 5′ 8″ to 5′ 10″. He was wearing khaki shorts or pants. He also had a thin beard that included sideburns that continued down his jaw line to his chin. There were no surveillance cameras at the restaurant.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
