County Judge Bob Hebert guest speaker at Texas Turkish American Chamber of Commerce

Fort Bend County Judge Bob Hebert addressed the Texas Turkish American Chamber of Commerce and guests at the 8th Annual Ramadan Networking Dinner on July 10, 2013.

Judge Hebert was the keynote speaker at the celebrated event, and informed the networking group of the upcoming relationship agreements to be signed between Fort Bend County and the cities of Adana and Kahramanmaras, in the Republic of Turkey.

Both agreements will lay the framework for the exchange of education, cultural and economic development information between Fort Bend County and the Turkish cities. Judge Hebert presented a proclamation to the hosts recognizing and commending the Texas Turkish American Chamber of Commerce for ‘working with Fort Bend County to encourage ongoing mutually beneficial cultural, educational and economic exchanges.’

Through the efforts of Fort Bend Global Initiative and the Greater Fort Bend Economic Development Council, Fort Bend County has established a Sister Community Relationship with Foshan, in the People’s Republic of China. This relationship provided the framework for the educational partnerships and exchanges that have formed subsequently between Foshan Schools and Fort Bend ISD and Lamar CISD schools.
