Two Fort Bend ISD principals were elected to serve as officers for the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA). Christina Hopkins of Rosa Parks Elementary School will serve as District 4 President-Elect, and Laura Ramirez of E. A. Jones Elementary School is the new Third Vice President of Membership. Officers from the 20 TEPSA districts across the state were installed at the association’s July Leadership Conference.

“District officers provide a vital connection to the membership at the local level,” said Executive Director Sandi Borden. “They are committed to serving their fellow Texas PreK-8 school leaders and their students.”

Hopkins opened Parks Elementary in 2007. She has previous experience as a special education teacher and as an assistant principal. Ramirez joined Fort Bend ISD in 2011 as the principal at Quail Valley Elementary, and was named principal at Jones Elementary in 2012.

TEPSA has served Texas PreK-8 school leaders since 1917. Member owned and member governed, the association has more than 5,800 members who direct the activities of more than 2.5 million PreK-8 school children. Learn more about TEPSA at
