Pawned loot gets the attention of police

Sugar Land Police now have photos of a pair of men who went all the way to North Houston to pawn goods stolen from a Telfair home. It all started on July 10 when a woman heard her neighbor’s home alarm at about noon. The witness told officers she saw a man wearing a blue shirt climbing over a backyard wall carrying a television, said Sugar Land Police spokesman Doug Adolph. Adolph went on to explain that shortly thereafter a motorist in the area also saw the man climb over the wall with the television. That suspect fled in a black four-door car that was parked on New Territory Boulevard.
That stolen television was later tracked to a pawn shop on the north side of Houston, said Adolph. Sugar Land Police have obtained and released pawn shop surveillance photos of the two men who pawned the television. Interestingly one man is wearing a blue t-shirt that just happens to match the description of the burglary suspect’s shirt as described by witnesses.
Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at (281) 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
